Covid-19

Covid-19

To adapt with the current Covid-19 crisis we are currently sending all samples out free of charge. Along with this we are removing small order set up costs which are normally £150 for orders under 20m2 and £300 for orders under 10m2. The reason for this is there seems to be a trend appearing for smaller orders being used in residential properties as we all stay at home, self isolate and get those DIY jobs done around the house, so we feel the right thing to do based on the current climate is waiver these costs. The set up fee is in place to cover the cost of setting the workshop up for low quantities. We need volume going through the workshop to keep our prices low and smaller orders are not usually economically viable. Over the years we have found this more helpful to customers rather than having a minimum order quantity.

In terms of orders and work, we have a large and remote site from which we can operate quite easily whilst keeping to the 2m apart social distancing guidelines. The staff who are still working have chosen to work and we are monitoring the situation day by day. The Yard is closed to the public. We do feel that if we can work safely, with no staff members using public transport, they all currently drive individually to work, then we should still try to contribute to the economy in whichever way we can. Some products are not available as the manufacturing processes mean staff will be working too closely. All orders will now need to be paid via bank transfer. Our website will still be updated daily with new products that can also be viewed on all sales and social media channels. Customers collecting items will do so in an isolated designated part of the yard. Our couriers Pallex are still operational. We thank you for your continued support and now need it more than ever, as do many other small businesses up and down the country. We wish all of our clients a safe few months and hopefully everything will return to normal quickly. The team look forward to welcoming customers back in the yard in the not to distant future.
